About Alexandra P. Grayner, Esq.

Known as “Lexa,” Alexandra P. Grayner, Esq. represents employees and victims in their fights for justice against powerful institutions. A seasoned civil litigator and former prosecutor, Lexa is a trusted advisor and advocate for her clients.
As a prosecutor, Lexa held large corporate offenders accountable pursuing civil enforcement actions against ghost gun distributors, illegal tobacco product manufacturers, and major environmental polluters that profited from their illegal conduct. She also gained an insider perspective of law enforcement and how the criminal justice system operates.
Lexa then found herself on the other side of the power imbalance. After raising concerns about unlawful practices inside her own office, Lexa became a whistleblower and learned firsthand what so many of her clients face: the uncertainty, isolation, and pressure of speaking up against an employer with far greater resources.
That experience shapes how she practices. Lexa understands that behind every workplace dispute is a person whose livelihood, reputation, and peace of mind are on the line. She pairs that understanding with the skills of an experienced litigator who knows how to level the playing field.
Lexa began her career as a law clerk to Magistrate Judge Joseph C. Spero in the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of California. She then entered private practice in San Francisco at leading law firms Fenwick & West LLP, Covington & Burling LLP, and Buchalter PC, where she saw how large companies and their lawyers build a defense. Today she puts that insight to work for her clients: guiding employees through workplace problems and separations, and litigating cases for individuals against large institutions.
Prior to entering public service in 2021, Lexa was a three-time Super Lawyers Rising Star (2018–2020) and received the Pro Bono Community Advocate Award from the Lawyers’ Committee for Civil Rights of the San Francisco Bay Area.
